I received an e-ARC for this book via NetGalley thanks to HQStories. I requested it because I was feeling the cosy romance vibes having just finished another cosy romance set in a remote getaway cabin in Norway and also I love a good pun.
For this book we headed to the Pacific North West and meet our protagonist Willow, in Seattle suffering from some burn out, she heads back to her small home town of Honey Springs nestled in the mountains. Here she attempts to rediscover herself and rekindles an old friendship *wink* all whilst setting up a Matcha Van.
It was a perfect Grumpy x Sunshine story with Lucas, a friend who now runs The Diner was giving pure Luke Dawson (Gilmore Girls) vibes. During the course of the story we are introduced to several side characters and friends who I’m sure we’ll hear more about now that I know its part of the Honey Springs series.
I can’t say more without spoiling but I would recommend this to anyone wanting cosy vibes with a bit of spice thrown in. For this review I went so far as to go to my local coffee shop and buy a matcha latte which I’ve never had before just for this photo, it was nice (although I still prefer coffee), I also used canva to edit the actual cover onto my kindle because kindle ARC covers are just black with the title and no fun.
The book comes out later this month and you can pre-order directly from the publisher or wherever you usually get books.
